Kipling Country Tour

Destination Delhi- Agra- Bandhavgarh- Kanha- Jabalpur- Varanasi- Delhi.
 

Day 1: Arrive Mumbai :

Guests will arrive at Mumbai by International flight and will be assisted by our representative who will welcome you with a meticulously constructed itinerary for the Kipling Country Tour. Thereafter you will be duly transferred to hotel booked previously under this wildlife tour in Kanha.

Day 2: Mumbai :

Subsequent morning after breakfast at the hotel, guests will visit the 19th century Jain Temple with its silver doors, the Kamala Nehru Park, the Ferozshah Mehta Gardens known as the Hanging Gardens of Bombay and the Towers of Silence where the Parsis dispose their dead. Afterwards guests will stop over at Mani Bhavan where Mahatma Gandhi spent 17 years of his life working for the freedom of India and The Prince of Wales Museum which has an outstanding collection of miniatures. Overnight, the guests will relax at the hotel.

Day 3: Mumbai - Nagpur - Kanha :

Next morning, guests will be transferred from the hotel to the airport to board flight to Nagpur. Guests will meet our agent on arrival at Nagpur airport and will be driven to Kanha National park which is the prime setting of Kipling’s ‘Jungle Book’ therefore known as the Kipling country and is home to a range of animals including tiger, panther, and many species of deer, wild pig, bison, a variety of monkeys and other animals besides some 200 species of birds. Overnight, the guests will be free for leisure.

Day 4: Kanha :

Next morning in Kanha National Park, which is also a part of ‘Project Tiger,’ one of India’s most significant and thriving conservation efforts, guests will be taken on drives. These drives are prearranged by The Park both in the early mornings and late afternoons by open jeeps and will be accompanied by a trained naturalist providing a memorable wildlife tour in India to the guests. Overnight, guests will be on their own.

Day 5: Kanha :

Following morning on the wildlife tour in Kanha known as India’s largest national park where the most successful conservation efforts of saving the Barasingha was done, guests will be taken on a game drive to the sanctuary in the afternoon. Overnight, guests will be free for relaxation in Kanha.

Day 6: Kanha - Bandhavgarh :

Next morning after breakfast, guests will be driven to Bandhavgarh and on arrival will be checked in at the resort, previously booked by our tour operator in Khajuraho. Guests will witness this ideal wildlife retreat where history and nature meet, Bandhavgarh is set amidst the Vindhyan ranges, and is a well-known for natural hub for White Tigers.

Day 7: Bandhavgarh :

In the morning and afternoon, guests will proceed on a drive to the sanctuary. Spotting a tiger has become easier as the Forest Department has come up with a simple system of tracking the tiger at this Park. Every day elephants and their drivers are sent out into the jungle, in search of the Tiger. Once it has been sighted, a radio message is flashed to the Forest Ranger, who in turn informs the visitors in their jeeps, who are then taken on elephant-back to see the elusive Tiger. Overnight, guests will be in Bandhavgarh.

Day 8: Bandhavgarh :

Morning and afternoon in the Kipling country tour, guests will be taken on a drive to the sanctuary which is famous for white tigers which are a major attraction around the world's zoos and boasts of the highest density of tiger population in the country. Overnight, guests will be free for leisure.

Day 9: Bandhavgarh :

Next morning and afternoon arrangements will be made for Jungle exploration on Jeep. Guests can view the rich wildlife as the park has a big breeding population of panthers, bisons and numerous species of deer. Overnight guests will be free for relaxation at the resort.

Day 10: Bandhavgarh - Umaria - Agra :

After breakfast, next morning on the Kanha wildlife tour, guests will proceed on a drive to the sanctuary. Late afternoon, guests will be driven to Umaria Railway Station to board the train for Agra. Overnight guests will be on board.

Day 11: Arrive Agra :

After arrival at Agra Railway Station, guests will be assisted by our representative at the railway station and will be transferred to the hotel. Afterwards, guests will witness one of the Seven Wonders of the World - the Taj Mahal. In the afternoon, guests will venture to Fatehpur Sikri which is the beautiful city built by Akbar in red sandstone, with its forts, palaces and mosques. Overnight guests will be free for leisure.

Day 12: Agra - Delhi :

Subsequent morning, guests will be taken on a city tour of Agra, visiting Agra Fort, built by three Mughal Emperors, within the fort are a number of wonderful buildings including the Moti Masjid, Jahangir’s Palace, Khas Mahal and the Sheesh Mahal, Diwane-i-Am, Diwane-i-Khas and Musamman Burj, where Emperor Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal Emperor, died a prisoner. Guests will be free for leisure afterwards.

Day 13: Delhi- Departure :

Subsequent morning, guests will be taken on a tour of Old Delhi visiting the historic Red Fort build by Shah Jahan. Very near the Fort is the Jama Masjid, known as India’s largest mosque, also built by Shah Jahan. Guests will witness the colourful bazaar of Chandni Chowk, taking in the hustle and bustle of this traditional city. Afterwards guests will be given a farewell dinner. After Dinner you will be transferred to the international airport to board the flight back home.
